Identification card of Bertha Archenhold

The identification card that was issued to Bertha Archenhold in 1938 has survived in the Einbeck Stadtarchiv. It shows the antisemitic stigmatization through the letter “J” and indicates that Bertha Archenhold was forced to adopt the second first name, which was imposed on all Jewish women at the time.
